Savour our local flavour! We warmly welcome you to come and taste the flavours of Hasselt in the Smaaksalon (the 'Flavour Lounge'). The Smaaksalon is housed in the unique interior of Huis de Corswarem. Hasselt's high standard of flavours is rooted in rich traditions and craftsmanship that are faithfully cherished on the one hand and, on the other, reshaped into original current-day creations. The Smaaksalon is where the people of Hasselt and the tourist alike can feel at home and experience the Limburg gastronomy in general and the Hasselt products in particular. You can visit the brasserie as from 11am to enjoy a drink or a small snack. Our menu offers delicious Hasselt morsels, Hasselt biscuits or an assortment of Hasselt sweets. The favourite dishes of known Hasselt personalities are also everyday fare in our brasserie. Working together with Hasselt and Limburg producers is primordial for us. That is why we serve delicious cups of Maes coffee or a refreshing glass of Aldeneyck pinot blanc. It is possible to order first-class wines by the glass in the restaurant. Working with suppliers such as Puur Limburg, among others, we are convinced that we can share the best Limburg products with you. The Smaaksalon is open to the public during the day but even after closing hours, groups can rely on us for dinner-meetings, formal table dinners or receptions with regional snacks and drinks. Quotes can always be requested, without commitment. Definitely keep an eye on our agenda. Every saturday, the Smaaksalon restaurant is exceptionally also open in the evening.
